Those New Eyes

For those of you who are reading this, our sincerest thanks for your continued support and following. We experienced some serous fall outs after the release of v.01.02, and these events may well change the whole notion of running an online magazine.

There were significant events that happened which made us question our judgment and ideals regarding ThoseBrownEyes. It also questioned our expectations. All of a sudden we found ourselves unsure of what we were doing.

ThoseBrownEyes almost came to a grinding halt. As some of us have expressed reservations about being part of this publication we became aware of the realities of pushing an idea and a belief forward for its own purpose rather than for commercial and even for professional gain.

It took a lot of time for reflection. And at one point I could no longer refer to ThoseBrownEyes as "our" publication, but rather as "my" online magazine because I found myself alone. But that was only for a moment. And for our sense of direction to sink in once again it took some enlightening words from outside the circle... from someone who has gone through similar (if not more difficult) ordeals before.

On our present cover is Christine Hsu of the celebrated HeyChristine.com and the acclaimed Oriented.org. She is also our saving grace.  It was never in my nature to address any conflicts that I experience with someone who is not directly affected by it, but in a time of confusion I simply could not say "I'm fine, thank you..." when asked "How are things?".

And when I voiced out a little of the chaos I received an e-mail which contained what would be a clear mandate for pursuing the goals that we initially set ourselves to achieve. Nothing else has been more helpful.

Now that I completely understood the importance of sharing the vision I found myself surrounded with more people who are willing to push ThoseBrownEyes forward. To Julia, Jacqi, and Robyn, who jumped aboard with sheer exuberance and optimism, and to those who will eventually hop in... thank you. =)
